On Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at 10:51pm, the Green Lake County Sheriff’s E911 Communications Center received a report of an armed robbery at the Mobil Gas Station in Princeton. Officers for the City of Princeton Police Department and Sheriff’s Deputies were in the area, responded, and arrived within minutes. The suspect entered the gas station wearing black face mask, a black hooded sweatshirt with adidas white lettering on the front, blue jeans, a black hat with gray trim and a CHEVY emblem on the brim, and white Nike tennis shoes. The suspect walked up next to the clerk displayed a knife and pushed the knife into his side demanding cash. The suspect did obtain an undisclosed amount of cash. City of Princeton Police, Green Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies, and City of Omro K-9 unit searched the residential area including back yards, parks, and apartment complexes. A neighborhood canvass was also conducted; no suspect or related evidence was found. According to a witness, the suspect exited the Mobil gas station and ran around the back of the building and east on West Main Street. The Omro K-9 tracked the suspect to the back of the gas station through a back yard and east on West Main Street where it lost the suspects scent. No one was injured during the incident. Video including clear audio is in the process of being obtained and will be released in the near future. |
